CLASSES

HEALIUM HOT YOGA

Our mission is to offer our students a variety of classes that can enhance their health and well being taught by teachers that are passionate about yoga in an environment that is warm, welcoming, and free of judgment. We welcome you to try any and all of our many different classes. If you like a physical challenge, the HOT Power Hour might be right up your alley. If you crave something on the slower side with more meditation you might like the Yin or Slow Flow yoga classes (NOT HEATED). We offer classes on both ends of the spectrum and even a little something in between.

Our classes are open to all levels of practitioner. We encourage anyone to try it all - be sure to let the instructor know you are a beginner and listen to your body above all else. Keep in mind you might want to take it easy your first several classes as you get used to the heat. In any class please feel free to slow it down or take breaks when you need to catering each movement to your own body and needs.

Our classes are broken down into three different temperatures -
HOT, GENTLY HEATED, and NOT HEATED.

HOT

During HOT Classes, the room usually heats up to around 95 Degrees Fahrenheit with 30-40% Humidity. It can get nice and toasty to ensure your muscles are warmed up and ready to stretch.  You WILL sweat. 

HOT Class temperature can vary (in either direction), based on time of year, amount of people in the room, etc.

GENTLY HEATED

During GENTLY HEATED Classes, the room usually heats up to around 80-85 Degrees Fahrenheit with 30-40% Humidity.  It is not quite as hot as our Hot Classes and can be a great way to ease into the heat.  You WILL still sweat in GENTLY HEATED Classes.

GENTLY HEATED Class temperature can vary (in either direction), based on time of year, amount of people in the room, etc.

NOT HEATED

If a class is marked as NOT HEATED, the class will take place a room that has no extra heat or humidity.  You will generate your own heat through movement and breath.  The studio is often at a slightly warmer temperature simply because it has been heated all day.

NEW CLASSES

GENTLY HEATED ASHTANGA FLOW (75 MIN) Ashtanga is a dynamic yogic path that consists of a progressive series of poses linked together with fluid movement and careful attention to breathing to empower you internally and externally. Ashtanga Flow will blend the Ashtanga primary series with Vinyasa for a dynamic, invigorating, and challenging class. It is recommended that you have been practicing for a minimum of 3-6 months before taking this class.


GENTLY HEATED HOUR FLOW (60 MIN) This is a slightly abbreviated Vinyasa Yoga class linking movement with breath. Sun salutations done with creative sequencing in a room heated to about 85 degrees. You can gain the same many wonderful benefits in a shorter class including; increased endurance, stamina, strength, and flexibility.  The heat aids in warming the body and increasing detoxification through sweat.  This class is open to all levels of practitioner.  We encourage anyone to try.  Keep in mind you might want to take it easy your first several classes as you get used to the heat.

BASIC YOGA FLOW (60 MIN - NOT HEATED) Basic Flow is geared to students new to yoga, returning to yoga, or any student wanting to check back in with alignment and posture breakdown. This class will give students the opportunity to learn basic sequencing of sun salutations, gain strength and confidence in warrior poses, practice standing balances, build core strength, understand alignment and how their bodies should feel in their yoga practice. Its a great opportunity to explore yoga in a supportive studio setting. No experience needed, just curiosity about developing your very own yoga practice. 

YIN / YANG YOGA (60 MIN - NOT HEATED) Yin yoga is a complementary yoga practice to the more dynamic and invigorating Yang yoga. During this class you will wake up, lengthen and strengthen your muscles, body, and mind with an invigorating vinyasa practice followed by a series of floor postures held passively for several minutes in order to access a safe and positive ‘stress’ on the deep layers of connective tissue in the body. Energetically, Yin yoga opens the mind for stillness, silence, and prepares us for deeper inner calming.


WORKSHOPS

In addition to our regularly scheduled classes, we host a variety of Workshops that allow you to dive deeper into your practice.  From Guided meditation to Kundalini to Yin/Yang Happy Hour, we've got a workshop for everyone!

KIDS YOGA

Did you know we offer Kids Yoga at Healium? Next session will begin in February.  Kids Yoga will be returning this Fall!  Your child will learn confidence and self-awareness through non competitive body movements and have some fun!
