My yoga journey began while I was living in China, over five years ago. Fitness has always been a big part of my life, and my intention as I stepped onto my mat for the first time was to mix up my routine and find a different way to challenge my physical body. I had no idea how powerful the practice would become for me. Yes, I saw benefits as I built strength and flexibility. That, however, was not solely what kept me coming back. My yoga community was a cultural melting pot. We spoke different languages, but on our mats we were moving and breathing together, without judgement or bias. It was beautiful. I was hooked.
In July, 2015 I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training at Inner Fire Yoga (RYS) in Madison, Wisconsin. I consider myself to be a lifelong yoga student, and I continue to be humbled and amazed by the diverse group of yogis I am fortunate to practice with regularly.
In line with my adventurous spirit, my yoga classes are explorative and vinyasa flow based, usually with the added element of heat. Students of all levels can expect a powerful flow, some sweat, a lot of fun, and always a smile.
Off the mat, I am a pharmacist, food enthusiast (not cooking, just eating!), and am entirely consumed by wanderlust.
