HEALIUM YOGA + HIIT CLASSES

Our mission is to offer our students a variety of classes that can enhance their health and well being taught by teachers that are passionate about yoga and fitness in an environment that is warm, welcoming, and free of judgment. We welcome you to try any and all of our many different classes.

If you like a physical challenge, the Hot Power Hour (at Healium Hot Yoga Bay View or West Allis) or some Healium HIIT might be right up your alley. If you crave something on the slower side with more meditation you might like the Yin or Slow Flow (at Healium Restore). With our three studio locations in Bay View we are offering classes on both ends of the spectrum and even a little something in between!

Our classes are broken down into three different temperatures -
HOT, GENTLY HEATED, and NOT HEATED.

All classes at Healium Restore are NOT HEATED.

All classes at Healium Hot Yoga are GENTLY HEATED or HOT.

All classes at Healium HIIT are HOT.

  • Restorative Yoga is a gentle, slow paced style of yoga that uses props to facilitate your physical body in finding complete effortlessness. During this class, props will support you to find comfortability while holding poses for 5-8 minutes. Our parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated when we relax into poses, which promotes a relaxation response and reduces stress in our bodies. The parasympathetic nervous system is responsible for slowing your heart rate and breath and increasing blood flow to your vital organs, among other things. All levels are welcome.

  • Slow Flow yoga is all about intentionally slowing down and focusing on the mind-body connection. During this class, you will focus on slowing down the pace of your breath in conjunction with slowing down the pace of your movements. Poses will be held longer, taking several rounds of breath in each pose, rather than moving one breath per movement. Slow Flow will challenge you to improve your strength, flexibility, balance, and mindfulness. Slow does not necessarily mean easy, so as always slow it down even more or take breaks when you need to. All levels are welcome. Slow Flow can be ideal for yogis just starting out or those that want to hone their practice and postures.

  • Vinyasa Yoga focuses on linking movement with breath. Classes are often built around Sun Salutations done with creative sequencing. You can gain many wonderful benefits including; increased endurance, stamina, strength, and flexibility, in addition to calming the mind. This class is open to all levels of practitioner. We encourage anyone to try. The focus is on flowing from pose to pose and linking your movement with your breath. All levels are welcome!

  • Yin yoga is a slow-paced, passive type of yoga that incorporates long holds in postures and deep breaths to facilitate a stretch that can sometimes feel quite intense. During this class, you can expect to hold postures anywhere between 3-5 minutes. As you hold stillness, the body will naturally begin to surrender and encourage a release of tension and stress working deeply in the connective tissue and joints of your body. We provide bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps to support the body in postures on the floor that calm the nervous system, relax the muscles, and begin to still the outer and inner self. Long Yin yoga holds are also known to release repressed or stored emotions, leaving the yogi feeling lighter, clearer and completely relaxed. This class also i a great balance for and helps to deepens Yang styles of yoga, such as all of our Hot and Warm classes. All levels are welcome.
