This event is a Healium 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training Module; it is also available for 16 Continuing Education Credits* with Yoga Alliance. ALL curious students are welcome!
Join Sarah Filzen, eRYT 500, on Saturday and Sunday February 21st & 22nd at Healium Restore for a Yoga for Back Care Immersion Weekend.
This weekend-long module will study the muscles, bones and connective tissue of the back; we will practice and discuss yoga asana for back care that incorporates modifications and props and examine best-sequencing of asana for back care. We will also explore working with older populations and those with injuries. As part of the practicum requirement attendees will also participate in a back-care focused practice teaching exercise.
*Important: Credit can be applied towards the 300 hour teaching certification or Yoga Alliance Continuing Education credit, not both. To receive 300 hour credit, you must be formally enrolled in Healium’s 300 hour advanced training program prior to this class.
