This event is a Healium 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training Module; it is also available for 25 Continuing Education Credits* with Yoga Alliance.
Join Heather Burkart, eRYT 500, for a weekend-long (plus 2 virtual evenings) immersion which is the culminating module of the Second Pillar of learning in the 300 Program. This multi-day course ties together Ayurvedic principles, yogic philosophy, lifestyle practices, and herbal medicine to create a well-rounded approach to holistic wellness. We will explore daily and seasonal routines (Dinacharya & Ritucharya), Ayurvedic nutrition, and the use of herbs in self-care and healing. The module also includes guided practices in yoga, meditation, and breathwork for long-term well-being. Trainees will be empowered to embrace Ayurveda as a way of life, integrating yoga, mindfulness, herbal wisdom, and ethical teaching to support long-term well-being for themselves and their students.
Required reading: The Yoga of Herbs by Dr. Vasant Lad & Dr. David Frawley
Homework: Trainees chose a personal wellness practice that can include any of the Ayurveda & Yoga techniques learned; Trainees create a holistic self- care plan integrating Ayurveda, yoga, and herbal medicine.
*Sign up for the first in-person virtual session ONLY. You will automatically be added into the Friday night, Saturday, Sunday and 2nd virtual evening session. Attendance at all 5 sessions is mandatory in order to receive credit.
