Join Amelia and Kate on Sunday December 21st from 1:30-2:45pm at Healium Hot Yoga-Bay View for a Winter Solstice Half-Mala: A Practice of Returning Light. This gently heated, deeply centering and energizing special event will honor the Winter Solstice - the longest night of the year and the moment when the light begins its return. This practice is dedicated to finding inner stillness through sustained effort and rising with deliberate strength to greet the returning Sun.
We will move through a Half-Mala (54 repetitions), divided into two distinct sequences:
Lunar Focus & Depth (27x Lunar Vinyasa): We begin with a strong, cyclical, moon-inspired vinyasa flow designed to build deep, foundational heat. This continuous sequence focuses on powerful hip-opening, lateral strength, and sustained movement. We cultivate the focused, internal energy of the Moon, creating space for renewal through consistent effort and deep opening.
Solar Power & Rhythm (27x Solar Vinyasa): Following an intentional pause, we shift our energy to a dynamic, rhythmic flow of traditional Surya Namaskar A. This sequence continues to build intense internal fire, awakens the front of the body, and ignites the joyful, active energy of the returning Sun.
This is a challenging and rewarding meditation in motion, offering a space to move with precision, strengthen your entire body, and align your energy with the natural cycle of the seasons. Whether you are seeking sustained focus, deep physical opening, or a symbolic way to celebrate the Solstice, we will move together from darkness to light. Expect rhythmic Vinyasa, deep strength in the body, intentional breath work, and an exhilarating journey from grounded effort to soaring energy.
